The Graea Hypue DC-T d4-84 system is located in the Norma Expanse region, 13,608.02 LYs from Sol.
It is the 23rd survey candidate system in the original Canonn Challenge route, and was visited on day 33 of the Chronicles Expedition.
Expedition objective: scan and catalogue Puniceum Brain Trees and Amphora Plants
WARNING: The following log entry may contain spoilers about an experience in the galaxy of Elite.

Expedition Journal
The Puniceum Brain Tree displays no significant distinguishing traits compared to other varieties of Brain Trees, with the exception of the pink and deep purple colouration of it’s foliage.
The Amphora Plant is an organic structure that takes their name from a type of container dating from Earth’s Neolithic period. They are are a species of fungal life that have been found on the surfaces of airless planets and moons across the galaxy. The plants are greenish, tubular growths that roughly resemble amphorae. Amphora Plants were first discovered following the introduction of new scanning hardware and software in late 3304.
The top of the plant consists of a form of chimney opening through which, upon initial observation, a form of gaseous emission emerges. Given the fungal nature of the plant this is more likely to be a type of spore dispersion mechanism. However, due to the limited analytical equipment on a standard Surface Recon Vehicle this is purely speculation. Further analysis is recommended once the botanical hand analyzer is readily available for purchase.
The plant was observed producing vibrations, which if exposed to an atmosphere would likely produce a form of sound. The scanners aboard an SRV can translate these vibrations into audible sound.
During the survey of the system these other features were observed
Note: The date and location of the codex entry shown above may differ from that listed as the expedition objective for this Canonn Challenge system. The Codex records the first per region encounter for each organic structure a commander discovers. Some encounters occurred prior to the creation of the Canonn Challenge event.
