The Gru Hypai DL-X e1-20 system is located in the Norma Expanse region, 13,999.69 LYs from Sol.
The system is comprised of a black hole surrounded by a bright double-globular nebula.
It is named the Gru Hypai Stellar Remnant by the Galactic Mapping Project.
It is the 29th survey candidate system in the original Canonn Challenge route, and was visited on day 35 of the Chronicles Expedition.
Expedition objective: scan and catalogue K02-Type Anomalies.

According to the Pilot’s Federation Codex, K-Type anomalies are a range of high-energy phenomena characterized by luminous cloud patterns.  They are considered a form of notable stellar phenomena and have been found in rings on or around Class III Gas Giant planets. This type of anomaly can damage ships that approach too closely or come into direct contact with them, according to sources outside the Codex system.

The K-02 Type Anomaly is a silver-white luminous cloud pattern whose light source is easily identifiable in the shadowy areas of planetary rings which its known to inhabit. The loose structure of the cloud is focused around a relative higher density core, however the core opacity does not prevent the observer from viewing through the anomaly to objects on the other side.  The edges of the anomaly dissipate in intensity, possibly caused by either the distance from the anomaly’s center or exhaustion of the energy field powering the cloud’s luminous qualities.

During the ship proximity experiment, the K-02 Type anomaly was observed producing a higher intensity cloud which began to reduce the effectiveness of the ship’s shield systems  at distances of less than 50 meters.

During the survey of the system these other features were observed
