The Ovomly HG-O d6-0 system is located in the Vulcan Gate region, 20,786.77 LYs from Sol.
It is the 16th survey candidate system in the original Canonn Challenge route, and was visited on day 25 of the Chronicles Expedition.
Expedition objective: scan and catalogue Luteolum, Lindigoticum, Viride and Rutulum Calcite Plates, plus Blatteum Torus Mollusc
WARNING: The following log entry may contain spoilers about an experience in the galaxy of Elite.

Expedition Journal
The Calcite Plate is a structure that is reported to mainly comprise of calcium carbonate and is produced by colonies of tiny polyp-like creatures. On the date of survey, this system boasted all four known types of Calcite plates: Luteolum (yellow with brown edges), Lindigoticum (blue with red edges), Viride (green with brown edges) and Rutulum (purple with red edges). Each type of Calcite Plate consisted of varying formations which would appear to indicate the shape and structure of the Plate is more of function of age and maturity rather than a strong correlation with the type and colour.
The Torus Mollusc is a ring-shaped organism with a twin set of tentacles that is reported to feed off starlight and convert it into chemical energy. The mollusc appears to have little to no desire to move unless forced to do so as a result of being struck by another object. The tentacles appear to have a bioluminescent quality to them and were noticed pulsating in bioluminescent intensity at a consistent and predictable interval. The Blatteum variant of the Torus Mollusc has light violet coloured tentacles. During the observation period, no other noticeable traits were identified.
Due to their relative small size, compared to other notable stellar phenomena, these mollusc can be easily missed. A slow ship velocity and reliance on the scanner control panel readings from your ship’s sensor suite are strongly recommended to locate these organisms.
During the survey of the system these other features were observed
Note: The date and location of the codex entry shown above may differ from that listed as the expedition objective for this Canonn Challenge system. The Codex records the first per region encounter for each organic structure a commander discovers. Some encounters occurred prior to the creation of the Canonn Challenge event.
